Jack Haynes, 89, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013. They dated a few years and married on August 19, 1961. Jack was born in Oswego on February 5, 1945. These years are remembered fondly by all three. Visitation for Mr. Haynes will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 2, 2016 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro.

He was an avid vegetable gardener, reader, and volunteer, always generous with his time, and greeting everyone with a smile and hearty laugh. Jack was born in Oswego on February 5, 1945. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.

Haynes; two sons, David (Mary) Haynes of Mobile, AL, and Phillip (Marcia) Haynes of Waynesboro, MS; three grandsons, Scott (Krislyn) Haynes of Spanish Fort, AL, Walter Haynes and Michael Haynes of Waynesboro, MS; and two great grandchildren, Madeline and Jack Haynes; one sister, Martha Rigel of Lake Wales, FL, and one brother, Buddy Haynes of Cullman, AL.
