Regardless the intent, I do like the message and the lyrics to the title track. This is a solid rock album most songs sound as if they belonged in the 80s. !...I will be front row...keep these masterpieces coming please!

Just like their first endeavor this album is a masterpiece of relentless power and unique sounds with one of the most underrated guitar slayers of all time and then of course there is George who needs no introduction as the most phenomenal metal guitarist in the world ever bar none...Michael and George please get James and Brian to the whiskey and shoot a blue ray so I can put it in after Stryper at the whiskey (five stars)...please do it guys!! Lynch said in 2018 that the third SWEET & LYNCH would be "a concept record" about Christianity, with George "advocating for one side of the argument" and Michael "advocating for another." And the album ends on a really positive note with the upbeat and uplifting “Live to Die.” In summary, Unified is a solid collection of songs, but I think the creative energy/synergy of Sweet/Lynch is not as evident here as it was on the debut. After an excellent debut collaboration release, Sweet and Lynch, just two years later, return with more solid melodic rock and metal. I find the best numbers are top-loaded and the last 2 or 3 tracks are nothing exceptional. “Better Man” is one of the best songs here – great words and some tasteful guitar leads. I mean, the first two tracks could easily find their way onto a Stryper record (both musically and lyrically). S&L is no longer two guys from other bands. Please try again. As if a new solo album, a long awaited autobiography and quite possibly the best album of Stryper's 30 year career weren't enough, Sweet has assembled a supergroup of sorts for his latest project, Sweet & Lynch. I'm guessing there's less input in songwriting from Lynch this time and the material while strong (and in some cases extremely) doesn't sound that different from dozens of other hard rock bands. This follow-up, to the debut,on 1st few listens,is'nt quite as instantly accessible to this know- it- all,but repeated plays offer plenty of rewarding enjoyment. In fairness, I definitely think this will appeal more to fans of Sweet’s solo work (and even Stryper) than to fans of Lynch Mob/Dokken. Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2017.

I love Stryper, but I feel with this band there should be something a bit more distinctive. As a follow up to a brilliant first album this is a valiant effort but doesn't quite reach the same heights.

I was pleasantly surprised when I listened to this.The musicianship is top notch to say the least with all working together to make it special.I recommend this any and all.
