The campsite is just off the A26 a few miles outside of Lewes in East Sussex. You'll find our site overlooking the River Thames nestled within the Henley Estate. We are located at the Bentley Estate, just outside the historic town of Lewes, the South Downs National Park and the Sussex Coast. The majority of our campers bring a portable powerpack to charge the devices they can't leave at home.

Just a few miles south of our campsite you’ll find the iconic South Downs National Park, offering a landscape as diverse as it is breath-taking. All our bathrooms are kept meticulously clean and have flushing toilets and piping hot showers…a real comfort when you are camping, leaving you refreshed and ready to take on the day ahead – but please don’t forget to bring your own towel, as these aren’t included. Our team are always popping in and out cleaning and sanitising.

We try very hard to minimise our impact on the environment and so run on minimal solar electricity and don't have electricity hook-ups.

You can get a few essentials from the shop on site, but need to travel elsewhere for anything else. Nearby attractions include Encryption Escape Rooms (2.6 miles), Glyndebourne (3.9 miles), and Raystede (1.2 miles).

Our on-site shop provides hot drinks and snacks.

Maybe even take a refreshing swim in the sea at Seaford or Birling Gap Beach.

They offer kayaking on the river and a good pub menu - we'd suggest you book and arrive early as it does get busy during the summer months.


Why not hike or hire a bike to ride along The South Downs Way, just 9 miles from the campsite; you can hike along the seaside on the South Downs Way or take your mountain bike on a trail with timeless views. The crooked Georgian dwellings of Lewes are also just a few miles away, straddling the River Ouse as it carves through the South Downs National Park. We promise you won’t go hungry during your stay.

You can't keep your cars by your pitch and there is no electric anywhere on the site, making charges devices etc impossible. Located in the centre of Henley on Thames is the River & Rowing Museum.
