I doubt it will matter much for at least the next year or two though. I personally would pick the 3600 over the 3600x depending on price, $10 difference I'd for with the 3600x better resale value. Since i save up some cash while going with the cheaper but very powerful R3 3300x i could manage a 2080 super or at least a 2070 super with better cooling since my current gpu choice has a cheap winforce 3x cooler.

For CPU heavy work like streaming, video editing, etc, you would probably be better off just getting the Ryzen 5 3600 now because those kind of tasks really benefit a lot more from higher core count processors.
