Our cabin to Spain was an outside so had a window but on the return we had an inside cabin which was just as good but we did prefer the outside one so we can open the curtains in the morning and see the horizon which might have helped our daughter not feel as ill LOL.There is plenty of entertainment provided on the ship from kids entertainment, cabaret acts and even bingo should you wish, there is also a games area to keep the older kids occupied or even a cinema which was showing the latest films for a small additional charge.There was a good choice of food on board from self service to more fine dining, we found the food in them all very good and reasonable prices and considering the captive market of being stuck on the ship the prices could have been much higher.The swimming pool on the ship is a good size and great for keeping the young ones occupied again, but depending on the forecast of sea conditions this is sometimes emptied for safety reasons.We only had one little problem on our return sailing from Spain back to the UK aboard the Pont Aven, I went to the bar with my daughter during one of the entertainment acts and ordered my drinks and once the barman returned with them, he had done the wrong drinks and on pointing this out to him and even saying sorry you have done the wrong stuff, I was faced with a barrage of abuse from him and insulted for his mistake, the issue was dealt with by the purser on board and brittany ferries customer care team very well and we are looking forward to using them in future. Please do not hesitate to let the staff on board know if you are dissatisfied with your meal as they will do their best to resolve this immediately. It is a shame you did not report your dissatisfaction to the Restaurant Manager who would have done all they could to put things right for you. We've been travelling the Portsmouth/St Malo route for years.

The only disappointment was that we were woken by a tannoy announcement and no Brittany Ferries wake up music. This has reduced the area for dogs on deck 10 and Brittany Ferries have had to install barriers on Deck 9 to create a new dog area.

This means that the extra time that it takes to sail along the channel to Portsmouth cannot be incorporated in the schedule so Pont-Aven will sail to and from Plymouth.
