An expansive swath of land at Cloudland Canyon State Park Campground means you have everything from back-country trails to tennis courts, all not within too far a reach from each other. The moderate 2-mile loop provides access to the park’s backcountry campsites but is also a nice hike in itself.

It leads along the rim of the canyon to the Main Overlook, then continues onto a second overlook.

Backcountry site #7 is the furthest from the parking area and the most remote, offering seclusion from the other camping sites. This park’s distance from Atlanta makes for a long day trip. Cloudland Canyon has over 60 miles of trails which gives you a great view of the area’s views, nature, wildlife, and geology.
